The pin on the swing arm and the metal eye of the pushrod are separated by a small plastic bushing. The service life of this bushing is extremely short and it wears rapidly. As it wears, slop develops at this pivot point and overall clutch throw is reduced. In time, the problem can become severe enough that the clutch will not fully disengage. This results in rough gear engagements, harsh shifting, gear grinding, and increased transmission wear.
